Government
Is criminal. Legislators, civil servants and police are openly stealing billions in dollar equivalent from the national budget and extorting bribes. They are treating citizens like feudals treat their peasants. If you live far from big cities, you better not participate in opposition movement because you can easily be murdered by local government people.
All official opposition parties are indirectly controlled by Putin and his gang. The real opposition is kept away from governance and its members are continuously persecuted.
Laws
Do not work if you have power and money. Policemen can beat you to death. A drunken civil servant in his luxurious car can fatally knock down a child on the sidewalk. Such accidents happen almost every week but the culprits are not punished even if the whole country is buzzing about it.
If you have connections in law-enforcement authorities, you can jail an innocent one using false accusations. If prosecutors and judges need to put you in jail, they will easily use false witnesses, refuse to listen to lawyers and ignore basic logic.
Corruption
Is a cancer that is about to kill Russia. Policemen, customs officers, teachers, taxmen, doctors, regulators - they all extort bribes. And you can't complain to anti-corruption authorities because they are corrupted too.
Through bribery you are free to close a criminal case, to transfer heroin across the border, to sell bad food, to harm the environment. Сivil servants also help the businesses of their relatives and friends by interrupting and closing down their competitors.
Poverty
Despite the huge revenues from oil and gas sales, the majority of Russian people is living in poverty. Members of the government are stealing taxpayer money to buy expensive cars, yachts, and to build palaces. They aren't even hiding it.
The salary of a surgeon or a professor does not exceed $500 per month, even in Moscow. Infrastructure and buildings across the country are in emergency condition. Only a tiny amount of money from the national budget is extended to schools, hospitals and other important institutions.
Propaganda
Since the 90s all Russian TV channels are controlled and censored by the state. Main channels show propaganda of Putin and his party on a daily basis. People without Internet access receive no other information except for lies about the country's growth and empty promises.
The Government also brainwashed thousands of young people: they worship Putin and believe that without him Russia will be occupied by the United States and NATO. So Putin has an army of young obedient fanatics. They organize Nazi-like marches and harass people from liberal opposition calling them "US agents".
Putin
He's not a badass ex-spy as he want to appear, but a crazy old despot with a ton of complexes. Every day TV news tell stories about the manly prime minister Putin who pilots airplanes, extinguishes fires, participates in archaeological excavations, motocrosses, hunts, fishes, inspects the work of factories and hospitals instead of political activity. He had plastic surgery for wrinkles and exiled his wife to a monastery. He is a mad criminal who must face trial.
